Bytheway Cottage is a semi detached cottage in the village of Ingleton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, which has been completely rebuilt to a high standard. With three bedrooms (one kingsize, one double and one single), this cottage can sleep five people in comfort. The cottage also boasts a family bathroom, a modern kitchen/diner and a sitting room with an electric fire. Outside the cottage is a small rear patio with furniture and a BBQ as well as one secure parking space at the next door pub and a bike store. Being located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and within driving distance of the Lake District, Bytheway Cottage is in the perfect location for exploring this unspoilt part of the Yorkshire countryside.

Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Ingleton is surrounded by caves, mountains and waterfalls. Famous for hiking, walking and caving, the village is close to Ingleborough, the second highest mountain in the Dales and one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. The rivers Doe and Twiss meet in the village to form the source of the River Greta, which flows into Lancashire. The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a four-mile walk through ancient oak woodland, following a series of stunning waterfalls.
Attractions close to Ingleton include: White Scar Cave, Britain’s longest show cave; Ingleborough Cave, with its spectacular range of cave formations; the other two peaks - Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent - that make up the Three Peaks; the Settle-Carlisle railway and the iconic 400-metre-long Ribblehead viaduct, with its 24 arches rising 32 metres above Batty Moor; the Pennine Way, which passes close by; the Inglesport Climbing Wall, offering 300 square metres of climbing wall; Ingleton Open Air Swimming Pool; Malham Cove, a crag of carboniferous limestone and nesting area of peregrine falcon; RSPB Leighton Moss, a large reed bed which is home to breeding bitterns, bearded tits and marsh harriers; Ingleton Pottery; the Play Barn at Settle; and The Forbidden Corner at Leyburn.
Ingleton is the perfect destination either for outdoor activities or for relaxing in the beautiful countryside. The Lake District, the Forest of Bowland and the Morecambe Bay coastline are all just a short distance away. Nearby towns and villages include Swaledale, Welton, Winterton, Barton On Humber, Cottingham, and Goodmanham.
